Very proud to announce excellent news – the project 25th International Climbers’ Meeting Paklenica 2025, submitted by the Zadar County Tourist Board, has been awarded a Special Recognition in the category Most Sustainable Sport Event at the 1st UN Tourism Awards for Excellence in Sustainable Sports Tourism, powered by FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile).

The jury particularly recognized the initiative’s outstanding efforts and meaningful impact in advancing sustainable sports tourism. The awards ceremony was held on Thursday, 19 March in Madrid.

The 25th International Climbers’ Meeting Paklenica 2025, awarded in the category Most Sustainable Sport Event, brings together climbers and nature enthusiasts in Croatia’s UNESCO-protected national park, promoting the concept of “Sport in Harmony with Nature.” Through eco-friendly climbing activities, educational programs, and strong local partnerships, the event actively contributes to sustainable outdoor recreation while supporting the regional economy and environmental preservation.
