This is the first time the airport has achieved such a number in a single year.
So far in 2016, the airport’s growth has averaged 9.6%. Zadar Airport’s busiest year was in 2015 when 496, 697 travelers landed. With so many great things to do in our region; we are not surprised. Ryanair has the biggest passenger share at the airport. It was responsible for 325,000 guests.
The biggest number of guests flew in on Ryanair. 325, 000 of them in fact! You can also be one of the next 500k by choosing many airlines which fly to Zadar including, Eurowings & Croatia Airlines.
So who exactly is coming to see say hi? It’s a varied range of travelers, but the vast majority are from Germany, The United Kingdom, France, Belgium, and Sweden. In fact, the most popular destination to and from Zadar, with 42,000 travelers is Brussels. But, 31, 000 travellers also flew in from Dublin, 30,000 from London and Dusseldorf has 29,000.
If the new Ryanair deal which is in the works goes ahead, Zadar’s potential travel growth is enormous. Stay tuned.
