If you love to combine cultures on your travels, head to Zadar between 1-5 February this year, and check out a fascinating and wonderful combination of Croatian and Japanese culture, all with a rather fishy and gastronomical twist!
This is the third festival of its kind and throughout the five days, visitors will be able to check out both Croatian, especially Zadar traditions, both gastronomic and general, as well as a few famous Japanese hints too. The festival itself is split into two parts – the professional and the fun part; the professional part is about swapping food-related knowledge, but the fun part is open to the public to enjoy.
You can check out origami workshops and martial arts from Japan, as well as perhaps trying a spot of sushi for yourself! To push Zadar’s point, check out an exhibition of Adriatic tuna at the City Lodge, as well as many different foodie events within the town’s Main Square. Basically, if you love tuna, you also need to be heading to one of the local restaurants too, because there are offers on this delicious dish throughout the festival!
Put simply, Zadar is going to come alive with food, fun, frolics, and everything Japanese for five days only!
