Things to do in The Zadar Region This Spring

I don’t know about you, but Spring for me means flowers – it’s cliche, but as soon as those early buds pop up just before Easter each year, we all know that the spring season is approaching. Jackets can be packed away; boots can be stuffed deep into the closet and best of all it means more time outdoors – next to the flowers.

If you are headed to our Zadar Region, this spring here are five things to do that all involve sunshine and flowers.

Flower Fair – Sveti Filip and Jakov

Spanning 3-days, this event brings together Croatia’s best flower producers, retailers, and exhibitors to celebrate the beauty of all things floral.

Each year the event is jam packed with activities including floral workshops, presentations, floral arrangement competitions, floral exhibitions and fashion shows.

For families, there is even a children’s play area to entertain the kids. As far as entertainment goes, there will be theatrical performances by school groups and cultural clubs from the Zadar County, culminating with a performance from the outstanding Klapa group, Kampanel.

Last month the Ministry of Environment and Nature Protection collated everything you need to know about Croatia’s national and nature parks in an easy to read and use web portal –

To make planning your trip simpler and help you decide which parks you want to see first, you can take a virtual walk in the ones located in our region.
