Let’s check out what you can enjoy during the main peak months of Summer in the Zadar region.
The heat is on during the month of July, but if you head to Nin, you can enjoy some seriously delicious gastronomical delicacies to help you cope with the heat! From 15-16 July, the town hosts Sokolijada, which is an international deal, where restauranteurs and chefs from all over Europe come together to pit their nation’s dishes against each other. Of course, this means you can try all manner of delicious treats!
Visitors to Biograd and Sali have two events to look forward to during August. On 4th of the month Biograd Night is the place to be, taking place on the picturesque promenade. During this festival you will enjoy fireworks, traditional food, music, dancing, local bands, and plentiful boats with twinkling lights! This is an event which pulls visitors from all over Europe, so expect crowds!
Sali sees the Festivities of Sali on 10-13 August, and this is a long-standing event which you simply have to check out! Plenty of fun, frolics, and gastronomy greets visitors, with Fishermen’s Night giving you some deliciously fresh caught treats to try, Dalmatian Nights being a really musical deal, and the final day being full of sport. The event is brought to a close with the Night of Sali, with big named brands heralding the end, along with the traditional and rather hilarious donkey race.
