Last year saw a huge boom in tourism in the Zadar region, with around 11.5 million visitors heading to the town – a huge jump on the previous year. In order to keep this momentum going, there is going to be an even bigger push towards constructing facilities and tourism opportunities, not only for the summer, but all year around too.
By the summer we are expected to see new construction around Duke’s Palace, further moves towards the introduction of Zadar Trail, which brings walking tours to the area, as well as a renovation and change to Zadar Gazenica port, with an investment of huge 31 million euros.
Camping visitors will certainly be itching to head to the Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar facility when it is finished, with a huge 323 pitches for visitors, 100 mobile homes, and several outdoors swimming pools, to name just a few of the planned facilities. This is sure to make it one of the best camping sites in the whole of Croatia, with five star status.
Ongoing construction in Zadar means that more and more visitors will be able to head to the town and enjoy the scenery and welcoming vibe. Whilst these are just a handful of newly planned construction efforts, taking advantage of increased visitor numbers means there are sure to be more plans in the pipeline.
